TIMEX GLOBAL TRAINER: GPS Watch and Heart Rate Monitor engineered  for triathletes, runners, cyclists, open water swimmers and other sportsmen seeking  maximum performance and satisfaction of their training and competition.

Technology: SiRFstarIII™ for rapid acquisition of GPS satellite signal  GPS Satelite signal aquisition • ANT+ links to heart rate, cadence and speed sensors,  power meters and others.

Includes: Heart Rate sensor (Flex Tech Digital 2.4) • Bike mount • Online training software (Training Peaks)

Stores up to 100 GPS waypoints (locations) allowing the athlete to create or save up to 50 routes (including time and heart rate info).

PERFORMANCE mode: Monitor several variables during exercise, including speed, distance, elapsed time, pace and calories burned.

MULTISPORT mode: Incorporate several activities and transition periods into a single workout, and track all of them together.

Customizable Screen Displays: View up to four workout metrics of your choosing (choose from over 40) in each of five view screens for either Performance or Multisport Modes, so your unique workout information is always at your fingertips.

Modo Review: Inspect your workout details (around 25 parameters per lap or workout). PERFORMANCE PACER: Test yourself against your saved workouts to track your progress and improvement over time.

GPS: Accurately identify location, store favorite exercise routes and record the locations as reference points (waypoints) for later use including navigation (you can view the course of the workout plotted on the map in the Watch screen and track back and forth)

TRACK BACK – Calculate a route from your current position to any stored waypoint.

Computer Integration: Set the clock Global Trainer™ from your PC (XP, Vista, Windows 7) or Mac for easy customization and transfer your exercise into the computer to analyze and track your progress.

Common Sports Usage:
Triathlon, running, cycling, duathlon, open water swimming* and many more... we know of referees using it to measure their game mileage (along with heart rate monitoring and log)
* use inside cap or somehow try to keep near the surface for efficient GPS signal reception

The Global Trainer™ Bodylink® System Watch is water resistant to a depth of 50 meters and to a pressure of 86 p.s.i. (164 ft below sea level) • The Digital 2.4 Heart Rate Sensor is water resistant to a depth of 30 meters and to a pressure of 60 p.s.i. (98 ft below sea level).
